About

Aims and scope

European Radiology Breast provides a dedicated forum for advancing multimodality breast imaging by exploring innovations within the field, addressing current challenges, and offering clinically meaningful insights into breast imaging and related areas of interdisciplinary research.

The journal focuses on both clinical and technical developments with a goal of improving early detection, patient care and clinical outcomes in the diagnosis and management of breast diseases. It is open to submissions of original articles, reviews, Letters-to-the-editor, and practice-oriented articles.

The journal welcomes submissions on:

• Multimodality, quantitative and functional imaging in breast-related disease
• Retrospective and prospective clinical imaging studies
• Technological developments, innovations and new procedures, including interventions in breast disease imaging and management
• Educational, professional and management issues in breast imaging
• Guidelines, recommendations, and statements from experts, leading institutions, and breast imaging societies
• Emerging topics in breast imaging and related care
• Breast specific AI-applications, radiomics and biomarker discovery

European Radiology Breast is owned by the European Society of Radiology (ESR) in collaboration with the European Society Of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI) and welcomes submissions from all regions, aiming to publish articles that are globally relevant.

It is a Gold Open Access journal – all articles are freely available on the publisher’s portal Springer Nature Link.
