{"id":931,"date":"2019-09-02T08:43:10","date_gmt":"2019-09-02T07:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journals.myesr.org\/eur-radiol\/2019\/09\/02\/announcement-2\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T10:32:53","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T09:32:53","slug":"announcement-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journals.myesr.org\/eur-radiol\/news\/announcement-2\/","title":{"rendered":"ANNOUNCEMENT &#8211; European Radiology Review Fellowships &#8211; Application now CLOSED"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Society of Radiology announces the<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>European Radiology\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong>Review Fellowships in 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Up to 10 candidates will be trained as reviewers for <em>European Radiology\u00a0<\/em>for a period of approximately 6 months (March to September).<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Tasks<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>The fellowship will consist of an initial training session during the ECR 2020 in Vienna (date to be confirmed). This workshop will be led by the Editor-in-Chief of <em>European Radiology<\/em>, Prof. Yves Menu.<br \/>\nOver the duration of the fellowship, the fellows will perform reviews of manuscripts, in addition to senior reviewers, and will have their work revised and analysed by a supervising Editor.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Benefits<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>The selected candidates will receive free registration to ECR 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The fellows will become familiar with manuscript handling, methods for analysing scientific papers and criteria for editorial decisions (accept, revise, reject, decline).<br \/>\nAt the end of the fellowship period, the fellows will receive a certificate and might remain as permanent reviewers for the journal.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Eligibility<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>Candidates must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a certified radiologist or radiology resident<\/li>\n<li>Be an active member of the European Society of Radiology<\/li>\n<li>Provide evidence of research and clinical activity in the field of Radiology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates still in training or under the age of 35 are preferred.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Application<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>Applications must include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curriculum vitae<\/li>\n<li>Motivation letter (mentioning their preferred subspecialties, if any)<\/li>\n<li>Reference letter from a referee who is an active ESR member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Application must be made via the online form at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/ReviewFellowship2020\">https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/ReviewFellowship2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for applications is <strong>October 31, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please contact <a href=\"mailto:office@european-radiology.org\">office@european-radiology.org<\/a>for any questions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Society of Radiology announces the European Radiology\u00a0Review Fellowships in 2020 Up to 10 candidates will be trained as reviewers for European Radiology\u00a0for a period of approximately 6 months (March to September).
