{"id":845,"date":"2018-07-13T11:09:22","date_gmt":"2018-07-13T10:09:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journals.myesr.org\/eur-radiol\/2018\/07\/13\/esgar-european-radiology-gold-award-winner\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T10:27:26","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T09:27:26","slug":"esgar-european-radiology-gold-award-winner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journals.myesr.org\/eur-radiol\/news\/esgar-european-radiology-gold-award-winner\/","title":{"rendered":"ESGAR European Radiology Gold Award winner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 29th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) celebrated in Dublin, Ireland, saw the handover of the ESGAR European Radiology Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The Gold Award was won by a combined team from Maastricht University Medical Center and The Netherlands Cancer Institute for their paper \u201cDiffusion-weighted MRI to assess response to chemoradiotherapy in rectal cancer: main interpretation pitfalls and their use for teaching\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The photograph of the handover pictures author Doenja Lambregts together with Yves Menu (Editor-in-Chief of <em>European Radiology<\/em>), Steve Halligan (President of ESGAR) and Helen Fenlon (President of the Annual Meeting).<br \/>\nIn addition to Prof. Yves Menu, Prof. Steve Halligan and Prof. Helen Fenlon, the jury choosing the best papers to be awarded consisted of Prof. Regina Beets-Tan (President-Elect), Prof. Andrea Laghi (Vice-President and Prof. Marc Zins (Programme Committee Chairman).
