{"id":766,"date":"2017-03-01T09:31:18","date_gmt":"2017-03-01T09:31:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journals.myesr.org\/eur-radiol\/2017\/03\/01\/most-cited-2014\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T10:17:22","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T09:17:22","slug":"most-cited-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journals.myesr.org\/eur-radiol\/blog\/most-cited-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Most cited papers 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is with great pleasure that Prof. Max Reiser announced the winner of the European Radiology &#8211; Most Cited Paper Award 2014 at the editorial board meeting at ECR 2017!<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations go to Matthias Roethke (pictured) et al. for their paper entitled <a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00330-013-3017-5\" target=\"_blank\">Evaluation of the ESUR PI-RADS scoring system for multiparametric MRI of the prostate with targeted MR\/TRUS fusion-guided biopsy at 3.0 Tesla<\/a> which received 44 citations in the following 2 years (2015 &amp; 2016) after the year of publication (2014).<\/p>\n<p>We would also like to congratulate the authors of the 2nd and 3rd most cited articles:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00330-013-3024-6\" target=\"_blank\">Time-resolved assessment of collateral flow using 4D CT angiography in large-vessel occlusion stroke<\/a> by Andreas Fr\u00f6lich et al. and <a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00330-013-3015-7\" target=\"_blank\">Evaluation of conventional, dynamic contrast enhanced and diffusion weighted MRI for quantitative Crohn&#8217;s disease assessment with histopathology of surgical specimens<\/a> by Jeroen Tielbeek et al. both received the second highest number of citations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s00330-014-3194-x\" target=\"_blank\">Image quality and radiation dose of low tube voltage 3rd generation dual-source coronary CT angiography in obese patients: a phantom study<\/a> by U.
