Baert Fellowships 2025 have been selected!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Radiology Private Foundation and\u00a0the Editor in Chief of <i>European Radiology<\/i>, Prof. Bernd Hamm, are delighted to announce the recipients of the prestigious <strong>Albert L. Baert Editorial Fellowship<\/strong> for 2025, <strong>Dr. Mohamed El-Diasty<\/strong> and <strong>Dr. Pablo Rodr\u00edguez Carnero<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The selected candidates will embark on their fellowship journey with an introductory in-person meeting with the Editor in Chief at ECR 2025, where they will gain some first insights into <i>European Radiology<\/i> and manuscript handling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The following 6 months period will consist of an onsite training hosted by Prof. Hamm in Berlin, and a remote training period, during which the fellows will be actively involved in all stages of a manuscript\u2019s lifetime, under the mentorship of our experienced Deputy Editors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of the fellowship, Drs. El-Diasty and Rodr\u00edguez Carnero will remain as reviewers for the journal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We wholeheartedly congratulate the recipients, and wish them a wonderful and valuable fellowship experience!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Find out more about them below:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5520\" src=\"https:\/\/journals.myesr.org\/eur-radiol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/09\/ElDiasty_Mohamed_cropped.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dr. <strong>Mohamed El-Diasty<\/strong> is a radiologist at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He graduated from the school of medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt, where he did his post graduate radiology training and obtained master\u2019s degree in radiology in 2015. His special focus is on oncologic, abdominal, vascular and interventional imaging. He is a former European Radiology review fellow. He is currently a reviewer for many international radiology journals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5521\" src=\"https:\/\/journals.myesr.org\/eur-radiol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/09\/RodriguezCarnero_Pablo_cropped.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dr. <strong>Pablo Rodr\u00edguez Carnero<\/strong> MD EDiR FESGAR, is an abdominal radiologist from La Princesa University Hospital in Madrid, Spain. Passionate about science, education and community outreach, he participates and conducts national and international research projects, is a regular speaker, peer reviewer and committee member in scientific journals and organisations, including the ESR, ESGAR, SERAM, RSNA, Hospital Boards, and Public Administration, and is involved in Postgraduate and University teaching.
