Baert Editorial Fellowships 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>APPLICATION IS NOW CLOSED &amp; SELECTION PROCESS FINALISED<\/p>\n<p>The <em>European Radiology Private Foundation<\/em> announces the\u00a0<strong>Albert L. Baert Editorial Fellowship in 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This editorial fellowship programme is hosted and conducted by the Editor-in-Chief of <em>European Radiology<\/em>, Prof. Bernd Hamm, and aims to provide training in editorial skills, such as manuscript evaluation, manuscript editing, organisation of peer review, manuscript production and publishing, including electronic publication.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Details<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The fellowship will consist of an onsite introductory meeting at the office of the Editor-in-Chief, and will be followed by a remote training programme. During the onsite stay the fellow will receive a basic personal training and gain insight into the work of an Editor in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handling new manuscripts<\/li>\n<li>Handling revised\/resubmitted manuscripts<\/li>\n<li>Inviting reviewers for a first review<\/li>\n<li>Making the first decision<\/li>\n<li>Making final acceptance decisions<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon completion of the onsite training, the fellow will continue working remotely on their manuscripts, thereby being involved in all stages of a manuscript\u2019s lifetime. At the end of the fellowship period, the candidate will remain as a reviewer for the journal.<\/p>\n<p>Among all applicants, two fellows will be selected. Both will be awarded \u20ac2,250 to cover expenses and will receive\u00a0free registration to ECR 2025, and an invitation to join the ESR Journals Editorial Board Meeting.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Eligibility<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be under the age of 40<\/li>\n<li>Be a certified radiologist or senior resident with achievements commensurate to the years of professional experience<\/li>\n<li>Be an active member of the European Society of Radiology<\/li>\n<li>Provide evidence of research and clinical activity in the field of Radiology by listing first author publications (min. 5 PubMed-indexed articles)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Application<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications must include the following documents as PDF files:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.myesr.org\/eur-radiol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/migrated\/2024\/10\/Albert-L.-Baert-Fellowship-2025_Application-Questionnaire.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>questionnaire<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Curriculum vitae<\/li>\n<li>Motivation letter<\/li>\n<li>Reference letter from a referee who is an active ESR member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants must send all their documents together via email to <a href=\"mailto:fellowships@european-radiology.org\">fellowships@european-radiology.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The deadline for applications is<strong> December 1, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please contact <a href=\"mailto:fellowships@european-radiology.org\">fellowships@european-radiology.org<\/a> for any questions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>APPLICATION IS NOW CLOSED &amp; SELECTION PROCESS FINALISED The European Radiology Private Foundation announces the\u00a0Albert L.
