It was no surprise to us to find that the more detailed the classification, the worse the agreement among observers. We agree with Gomez et al. on the requirements that a classification system should have. In our daily practice and in the absence of a better tool, we still use the Tile main classification (and first order subclassification, only to distinguish between B1 and B2 types) in order to \u201cred-flag\u201d the patients with fracture patterns associated with significant bleeding, as identified in one of our previous studies [2].<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Editor, We greatly appreciate the comments by G\u00f3mez et al. on our paper \u201cInterobserver reliability of the Tile classification system for pelvic fractures among radiologists and surgeons\u201d [1].
